Dealing with change...

My current DMT is not working and I've been urged to start Rituximab which will suppress my immune system and introduces a whole mess of side effects and other things to worry about. How do you all deal with being overwhelmed when something new comes up and you have to change course with treatment or even symptoms? I go through waves of grief/being overwhelmed and it's hard to manage sometimes.

I used to rituximab infusions for arthritis. I didn't know that they used it for MS. It didn't help so I have abatacept and methotrexate. You just have trust your Neuro and go with it. Stopping relapses is the important thing to do. I was told that methotrexate was life enhancing but could shorten it. I choose to be able and maybe lose a few years over being aged and in extreme pain. There is no point worrying about the unknown and worrying is not a friend of MS. Try to focus on the positives, like, the things you will be able to enjoy when you have the MS suppressed.

That's a good way to look at it, thank you @sprout.
