Stopping Tecfidera/ Meds
I have currently RRMS and am just curious has anyone ever stopped meds or more specifically tecfidera for a certain period of time? How did you feel? How fast till you felt some symptoms, etc... Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have had MS since 2006 and am in great shape, eat healthy etc.. Thank you.
The problem with MS is that you can feel good and at the same time a new lesion is forming in your brain or spine. It hasn't progressed enough to present a new problem or cause a relapse. Then one morning you wake up and bam! it hits you. The DMT's like Tecifera are to slow the forming of lesions hopefully to a crawl. If you want to get off DMT's you should get a new MRI and talk to your neuro about it. I will always take a DMT, my aunts had MS when there was no treatment. I know what they went through, enough said. Potter
I am on tecfidera and will not stop taking it unless my neuro tells me so. I will always take a DMT. I know what people that have MS that had no treatment what they went through as well. Best wishes to you.
