Hi all I was diagnosed 2005 and only had a few remissions but after cancer treatment 2020 I have had 2 major episodes since. Both are mobility based. Anybody with similar experiences or advice? Heavy right leg, weakness/lack of power ands fatigue.

@dabdy2014 Hi and welcome to the club. You could ask your GP or MS nurse to refer you to a neuro physio. They'll advise you about mobility aids like walking sticks, ankle / foot brace's and a Wheelchair should you need it. Hope you manage to sort something out that helps.

Yep, from my first relapse… hip flexor weakness, both sides, loss of all position sensor and loss of sense of both legs. Plus profound vertigo (which came first), so the combination of these things required me to get a cane in order to be able to walk well and maintain my balance without falls (falls prevention is quite important in MS). I will second what Lowlander said, that PT is essential, I had to relearn the mechanics of how to walk in balanced ways and without putting extra stress is on my other muscles and causing imbalances. A PT can also teach you how to pick, adjust and use the appropriate mobility aid, and give you some exercises to help adapt and compensate, which can be indispensable. Sorry to hear you're having this kind of activity now, please hang in there!
