Spinal MRI

Hi all just joined and looking for advice. Five years ago I had a lesion in my spine that gave me paralysis on my right side for months. Around the same time I had a few very small brain lesions that didn’t seem to effect me. I was put on Copaxone. Every year they scan my brain but not my spine as ‘it isn’t needed’. Last year I was suffering bad sciatica and said to the neurologist but I again didn’t seem to need an MRI of my spine. I pushed at the GP for this and finally got one and it showed new lesions on my lumbar spine however I have not had my spine scanned in 5 years so don’t know when it happened. Also hospital is telling me just to stay on Copaxone as breakthrough lesions are expected. Any thoughts and is it normal to only get a brain MRI every year? Thanks for reading 😃

@Stce I have lesions on my brain and spine. I have to remind my neuro to scan my spine, so I get it done every two to three years. Push it, its your brain and spine, they should be looking at both. And don't forget to ask for contrast.

Goodmorning all! I’s there anyone who experiences this? The bottom of my rib cage keeps swelling and gets extremely tight. Sometimes so much pain I end up in the hospital. It kind of feels like my torso is in a vise grip that’s being slowly tightened. Thanks in advance I’m newly diagnosed and I don’t know if this is even MS related but they didn’t find any reason for it at the hospital.
