Dizziness & walking aids
Hi all, wondering if a walking stick would help with my dizziness when walking? Would it help stabilise me or hinder me? What do I do and how do I go about it? Not sure if I’m just over thinking.
Thanks

Hi @Staceyc I tried a walking stick to start with when I was experiencing lots of dizziness when walking but personally for me the stick was too wobbly. I found I didn't have any confidence in it! So, I switched to an elbow crutch, which I find really helpful. It just gives me that extra boost of confidence, as it stabilises me. I actually bought my own but you could go via your MS nurse and request an appointment with neuro physio. Explain what you're after and they should help you.
thank you. I’m waiting to see my MS nurse so will mention it to her when I see her. I just have no clue about anything at the minute so really appreciate the help.
