Adult disability payment

Hey šŸ‘‹ I have applied for the Scottish adult disability payment. I completed the whole 89 pages šŸ˜“ took me a while but I got there maybe after 4-5 hours on and off and put myself into a pity party in the process šŸ„³ who knew it could spark anxiety further writing how everything makes you feel or what happens when to do xyz šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø I was wondering if anyone else has applied and had any success yet? I know it's still early days with it not being fully accessible to the whole of scotland. I seen there was alot of awareness raised of MS about how it can impact daily life to social security scotland before it was launched so I am hoping it makes a difference and myself and other people get the help and support they need. ** if any one is interested on the outcome please ask. Its all very new and I'm happy to share how I get on.

Hi šŸ˜Š I wait 9 weeks for a response from filling out the first part and sending off the 2nd part they recived that on the 25th of July. I did mine on paper rather than online so don't know if that made it quicker or slower. I had funds in my account before I got the letter explaining what I had been awarded and they were paid in on the 6th of September. I will keep everything crossed that you hear somthing back soon. Waiting is horrible too. They didn't contact my mum or my husband these are people that mainly help me day to day. I had gave contact detail of some medical professionals that assist me but I don't know if they were contacted or not. I sent away loads of letters from specialists, occupational health etc hope that helps. If you have any other questions just ask x x
