Mavenclad symptoms or possibly menopause

Hi, Not sure if my symptoms are my Mavenclad or possibly menopause. If you are on Mavenclad, has anyone had a reaction once they had their second dose? My bloods went very low and still low. They said mavenclad should stop new MS symptoms but definitely not with me. First dose all good then the second dose In December 2021, I’ve had lots of problems. Not sure if it’s the Mavenclad or or maybe menopause has visited. Mood swings are with me, I feel dizzy all the time but no hot flushes that people say are a common sign. I definitely feel a blood test is needed. If anyone has had any symptoms similar to this whilst taking mavenclad, I’d love to hear how you deal with them? Or if you feel this could be a menopause sign? Thank you and have a good day Sam

Hi Sammy hope you are doing ok, I am going through a similar situation unsure if it’s is treatment reaction or possibly menopause I have been on kesimpta since April this year. My mood is at an all time low right now, I can’t seem to control my body temperature the heat was horrendous for me! I have gained weight. Everything I seem to be experiencing could be one or the other so I’m none the wiser! I have recently had blood tests hopefully to get some answers. Always here for a chat!

Hi Colette, thanks for your message it’s good when you realize your not the only one going through this, you know as there’s quite a lot of women going through this as you see this on tele now. I’m on mavenclad and my neurologist and my nurse do not think it’s working but they need my lymphocytes to go up before I can start another drug. That’s annoying in itself but I’ve always got used to that as I’ve tried a lot of medication but they haven’t worked unfortunately. My best friend came round on Saturday and she’s going through the same, as we were both started talking about it we both nearly started crying but we started talking about other things to make us laugh and we stopped before the men thought we were crazy. We were talking about it so they could hear but they were definitely not understanding how we were feeling. It’s strange as I go hot at night time, but not every night and then hot and cold throughout the day. I was losing too much weight but I’m trying my hardest to put on weight My sister who is 3 years younger than me, a month ago was diagnosed with peri menopause and her nurse diagnosed this by taking this particular blood test and then you have to do the same 6 weeks later and they can supposedly see if you are in the menopause. I will update you when I find out anything further and I hope you get answers soon too. Always here too if you want to chat x
