Hair snapping off at 1-3 inches

Hi everyone Not sure if this is my MS, perimenopause or genetics or a combination of all of them. Background, I've had waist long hair since childhood. My mum had hairloss during cancer treatment in her 40s. I'm 41. Shortly after my first and second ocrevus infusions I noticed my hair was becoming brittle and snapped off at 1-3 inches. 2 months later, I'm going for a severe haircut and I'm mentally struggling with it. My hair has been such a big part of my identity for so long, but I feel like I'm being petty and selfish when my other friends are losing family members or going through divorce. I don't want to burden them

Just a word on this, although I am on Tysabri and have not noticed an increase in hair loss. But speaking as a woman who has had thin hair since I was in law school 30 years ago (I blame law school stress), I understand your fears. My hair thinning on top is likely autoimmune related. No matter, remember that you are beautiful. More recently I found a product called HASK Biotin spray, a leave in conditioner. I use it every morning and I think I’m seeing some improvement. Not sure if they have this in the UK. But if you can find a BIOTIN spray, I highly recommend it.

I also had patches in my head and my beard. I used rosemary oil in my hair, two to three times a week. After I’d say a month my hair was full. No patches of bald and seems to be thicker and healthier. I weirdly found it off the ticktok shop. It worked for me so maybe worth a try for you.
