Deja vu

Hey guys! I'm currently investigating what's going on with me and the more I read up and learn the more I think I have MS. I seem be struggling with the cognitive side of things.... my long term memories are fine but my short term ones seem to disappear! This has been listed as a symptom but what hasn't is this sense of deja vu that keep reoccurring I feel like my brain could be generating false memory's to make up for the loss of others? Somethings are like 'normal' deja vu, feeling like I know someone or been somewhere. Other times its situations and conversations that were impossible to have happend before so its not that I forgot but I feel like I've remembered them for over a year despite being in the process of making them? I'm not predicting any thing its just that feeling this has been done before. I'm 23 young fit and healthy but I feel like I'd imagine a person with dementia feels! Has anyone experienced this? And let me know what you do to combat this symptom?

@Mssenger love the names ha. You gotta keep up and grow your memorization skills. Note taking…I find writing down important details help me. Keep it up. Best Jorge

I would say cognitive symptoms are literally maddening. Before diagnosis I felt a bit like I was going mad. I haven’t experienced deja vu, but MS affects the brain and therefore anything is possible. I am sure a neurologist could link symptoms to lesion locations. I think memory is stored in the hippocampus. (Obviously not a neurologist and each part of the brain is linked). If you are diagnosed with MS it is worth telling your neurologist your experiences. Perhaps they can help 🤷‍♀️. Good luck .
