Any travel options

Hey I’m due to start my infusions next wed but the travel cost is going to be about £50 to Oxford and back and by taxis and national express coaches, The hospital said they don’t provide transport does anyone know of any help I can get with the costs I haven’t applied for pip yet as it hasn’t been over 3 months since my diagnosis, don’t have a clue how I’m gonna afford this over month as I’ve had to cut my hours at work but still won’t get universal credit, I literally have no option but to travel🤯 anyone got any advice

@Markymk you should apply for PIP. It's not the diagnosis the DWP is interested in. They are interested in how your symptoms affect your everyday life and your mobility. It's best to gather as much medical evidence as you can from your Neurologist, MS Nurse , Physio, GP etc to support your claim. Look at the Benefits and Work website for information on how to complete the forms. Contact MS Society for Benefits advice ESA , UC etc and any other benefits you may be entitled to. If your mobility is affected apply for " Access to work" which pays for taxis to and from work if you meet the criteria. Also consider applying for bus/tram/ train disabled cards if you struggle to walk. I think hospitals can arrange transport for some disabled people it might be worth checking. Good luck.
