MS with young child

I am still awaiting for a diagnosis of MS after my lumbar puncture. I’m 22 years old and have 14 month old daughter and I have days where I feel devastated with what our future may be. I find myself worrying a lot about how I’ll be in the future and how that could impact her. I always try to find the positives but I feel like i’m on an emotional rollercoaster. Is there anyone who has went through this with a young child? Or their early 20s?

Hi @mabigail. Its scary when u have young child and waiting for official diagnosis. I know its easier said than done but try not to focus on it. Enjoy time with your daughter and if you find out you have ms officially then you might have to make few changes depending on your symptoms. I was diagnosed at 16 and i didnt let it stop me. Had my son when i was 33 and he will be 8 in few months. Try look after yourself as best you can and get plenty of rest. You will still be able to do all fun/mammy things with your daughter.

Hi @Salmc thank you for your response. That’s brought me some comfort. I just want her to have the best, I can possibly give 🙂
