What do your children think

After hearing my 5 yr olds comment today , it’s got me thinking . She said in the car while listening to the radio . There was a M&S advert. She then shouted out … “ Mummy, that’s what you have M&S For anyone who has children younger or older ,how have they dealt with the news of haveing MS or as my daughter says M&S . ( for non Brit’s.M&S is a huge U.K food and clothes company )
@PoppyP

My daughter calls it my M&S too! They seem all good about it, now I am out of hospital, they count me as ok!

@Natters17uk

my daughter is autistic 11 year old. she is more upset that I can't do the things I used to with her ( go down slides, etc). she is of an age that I was able to explain that I'm more likely to die with it, than of it, which was her main concern. we have a special "honesty" time in the car, where she can ask any question, no matter how small or silly, and vice versa. since diagnosed I have made more of an effort to do things with her (she does my makeup or my nails or my hair or she bakes while I light the oven or we go to the park). I spend a while with her talking through my symptoms in terms she can understand (super tight hug is ms hug), etc. being open to her questions is important
