Optic neuritis, will my sight return?
Got optic neuritis last year around June time, started off with what felt like migraine vision and got bad within the week, went hospital for tests and the diagnosed it as optic neuritis caused by MS. As for now my vision in my left eye never fully returned, looking through both eyes sight seems normal like it always has. But when looking through left alone it is still blurred has too much time passed now? Is there still hope of regaining full vision again?
Hi I had optic neuritis in my right eye and it took at least 7 months for the blurriness, fragmentation and colour perception loss to begin to clear up. The fragmented sight and blurriness have gone completely, although colour perception in the right is still not as accurate as in the other eye. I hope this helps - it felt like a very long time but my eyesight is now good again. Wishing you all the very best...
