Getting sick
Well, I've finally gotten a cold for the first time since my diagnosis. I'm currently on kesimpta as my dmt and am just wondering if any of you lovely people have had any differences in getting sick since your immune system has been suppressed? Any advice for not getting worse? Thanks!
Hi 👋. I take Ocrevus and had covid 19. I thought I would be unwell for longer, but I didn’t test positive as long as my partner, who is not immunosuppressed. He was unwell for longer. With a cold it may take longer than 10days to clear it. 🤷♀️. Just depends. Definitely recommend getting Vit c, rest and drinking water 🚰. Hope you feel better soon.
I started Kesimpta in November and expected to pick loads up over winter but only had one cold at the end of march! Mind it was probably the worst head cold I have ever had. I felt like a ball of snot 🤷🏻♀️ it didn’t stop me working though, lots of fluids, warmth and rest helped. Developed a cough which hung around for over a month. Rest up!
