Anxiety

My symptoms have been progressively worsening this week. I told my doctor and all I got was a few head nods. Is this a normal response? Is this what I should expect? I am not sure to be upset or just accepting the idea of this is my new normal. I hate talking about it because the last visit I had I was doing good… makes me feel like a liar. Does anyone else feel this way when talking to their doctor?

I when I’m concerned about anything MS wise I email my NHS MS team usually my nurse and or MS Consultant ensuring that the department secretary also gets a copy. Also because I’m on the DMT Kesimpta there is an inbuilt support for that; there are two apps and a specialist kesimpta nurse is only a txt or phone message away. The GP surgery don’t have the specialist knowledge to support MS.

@GillM

I have changed Doctors exactly because of a similar situation. He wasn't a bit interested and just signed me off work with stress, no medication or advice to help my anxiety. I contacted my MS Nurse but had to wait a week for a telephone appointment and then they made me an appointment with an MS Consultant the following day. I really think that GP’s need more edcucation on how to help patients with MS. I would encourage you to contact your MS Nurse to discuss how you're feeling and ask for some support, as you're not happy with being fobbed off by your GP Good luck 🤞🏻☘️
