Menopause

I am menopausal and it is heighten my MS symptoms. My legs are numb and tingling all the time. I went to the neurologist and was told see your PCP or gynecologist to help your menopause. What about my MS symptoms? Do you think they will go away after my menopause is under control? Help I feel like crap and moody on top of it!!!!!!
@Criscross21

I share your sentiments. I am turning 52 soon and so I have often wondered whether menopause factors into these symptoms. I also have a lot of aching in my lower legs, particularly right after a nap or when I’m wore out. I’m moody as can be and lately have been barking at my husband simply because I feel so lousy. I doubt that our symptoms will go away, but let’s hope that we feel more stable after menopause is over.

I'm there too, similar symptoms and my fatigue is off the scale at the moment. I'd like to try HRT, lots of neurologists recommend it for pwms, but I had breast cancer a few years ago, and in the UK the NHS are very reluctant to give it after breast cancer. But if the fatigue doesn't improve I may get have to find a private consultant who's willing to give it a go. I have no idea if the symptoms will improve. Fingers crossed this isn't my life forever now. 😢
