Carry on working after diagnosis?

I was recently diagnosed with RRMS, and work as an ED nurse. I was was wandering are there any other nurses out there who have managed to carry on working, reduce your hours or had to stop? Happy to hear from other users as well who aren't nurses and how have you found working after?
@Gemico

Hey, I work in the Police Force & I did 12 hours a day for just over a year after diagnosis (2 years almost) but recently had to cut down to 8 hour days as was finding symptoms would worsen especially fatigue x

@LittleBoPeep

Just take your time and don’t make any snap decisions. MS is different for everyone and doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t work. I was diagnosed about 7 years ago. I work in the nhs in a mostly patient facing role and still do 12 hour days. There have only been a handful of occasions where I’ve needed sick leave or had to work shorter days. I know I’ve been lucky, but would still say don’t panic. When you’re newly diagnosed everything is horrible - so try to link in with occ health and they might be able to give you adjustments to get you through the early days!
