Urinary incontinence
Such a sensitive topic!
I’m on mirabegron which is working ok & my consultant has suggested I can add in Solifenacin (off licence taking both together). He also offered me botox treatment which then means permanent self catheterisation required.
How do I find out if people are glad they went down the Botox route or do they regret it? What’s the urine/ kidney infection rate? I’ll be seeing the ms spec nurse soon so can discuss with them but tbh I’ve not been overly impressed with anything my Neuro Centre has done for me (or rather not done) since diagnosed with PPMS March 2020. Consultant won’t even suggest who I could see privately to try Fampridine! So unfair knowing ms patients can get it on nhs in Wales & Scotland. Postcode lottery! (Moan over!!!)
I have also Overactive bladder.I find alternating solifenacin with Myrbetriq every other day to be helpful. Sometimes urgency doesn't hold back, but it is better controlled than it used to be.
@itasara are you on 50mg myrbetriq ?
