Sport!

Hi everyone. I love doing sports. It has always been my go to. Now with MS, when I play a sport it reminds me of my loss. 😢 I have always been sporty, because that was my thing. Now I feel that walking is becoming too hard. Any suggestions for what to do instead 🤷‍♀️. Should I worry about bone density if I do nothing. Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

I've worked on the assumption that something is better than nothing where exercise is concerned. The MS charity websites normally have good suggestions: https://www.nationalmssociety.org/Living-Well-With-MS. YouTube has lots of videos for those less able to exercise. There are a couple of sport mobility charities in the UK. Bone density is important, particularly for women so try and build in some strength exercise, especially for your arms and upper body if your legs are becoming weaker.

hmmm Ive never really been very sporty if Im honest (unless falling alsleep in the sun while easting a porkpie and 'watching' cricket counts) so feel free to ignore this but have you ever tried to break your 'love of sport down' e.g. is it the competitive nature of it, the health benefits, the team work, the comradery, the general outdoorsiness, the dedicated free you time to just do it etc etc and then can you do that bit of it in a way that is more accommodating to a life with MS? maybe that doesnt even make sense but I know what I mean 🤐
