Frustrated
I was diagnosed with ms last month but was not told what kind they just referred me to a neurological specialist and I'm still waiting for a phone call still have numbness on my left side lose my balance quite a bit and dizziness don't know where to begin to able to maintain these symptoms always tired
Who diagnosed you? I’m assuming if you were diagnosed that an MRI was ordered? You should try calling the specialist to try and find out what’s taking so long. You might also want to call the doctor who diagnosed you to see what the hold up is. Maybe they can shed some light on what type of MS you have. For me, I was diagnosed by a neurologist who was able to review my MRI and confirm I had RRMS. However when my spinal tap came back clear, we both agreed that it was in my best interest to see one of the MS centers here in my area. After multiple trips to the ER, having to really advocate for an MRI and even to see a neurologist I quickly learned that you have to advocate for yourself.
