Boots/shoes for winter with leg weakness?
That time of year is upon us, it’s about the get slippy and horrible and the only shoes I can reliably walk in due to left leg weakness are my reebok trainers. I love my docs but they’re now too heavy, I have retried my sketchers outdoor shoes but they’re too heavy as well.
Anyone have any suggestions for grippy shoes or boots for the winter that are fairly light and don’t exacerbate weakness too much?
Thanks ❤️
I tried some the north face winter boots, the short puffy ones without the laces they were super light! lighter than my sneakers i would say. I didnt get them because I need something higher for canadian winters, but I was surprised .
Vivo Barefoots were recommended to me by a physio due to weakness in my left leg and general instability. Like you I was a dedicated Doc wearer but them and any other standard shoe were just too heavy. The barefoots aren't cheap but they are very hardwearing, very light, very good at maintaining a grip and their foot shaped design is very good for people with challenges like the ones we face. They have been a game changer for me.
