Travelling with DMTs

Hello I started on a DMT (brabio) a few months back and given the restrictions at the time didn’t really think about what this might mean for travelling. I’m from Australia (living in London) and hoping to go back there for Xmas/January, but I’ve gotten myself quite worried about how to manage the syringes whilst I’m there. I’m comfortable getting a letter to travel with them, but how do people dispose of the used syringes while travelling? I can bring one sharps container with me, but we’ll be staying in multiple locations, and I don’t know what I’d do with the used sharps. I’m sure I’m overthinking this but my usually logical brain becomes quite useless when it comes to MS treatment! Thanks in advance for tips :)

@Bronwyn_Garrett I think you are overthinking the situation. We are talking about Australia. Local hospital or doctors surgeries, pharmacies. They should be in a position to deal with your used syringes, and you said you were taking one sharps container with you. How long are you planning on travelling for? Why not ask your healthcare professionals in the UK what do?

@Bronwyn_Garrett , the Brabio injections are three times a week? Xmas through January should be a maximum of 21 shots, which probably wouldn't fill up the sharps travel container. If you're worried, take two sharps containers. They won't take up that much luggage space, if the tops are off and you fill them with your "smalls" when you travel out there. If you fill up one container whilst you're out there, drop it off at a hospital or Doctors. I'm sure they'll take it.
