Medicinal Cannabis

I know this has been asked before (having searched the forums). Is anyone prescribed Medicinal Cannabis. For me it would be mainly to help with pain, spasticity as well as my mental health (EUPD/BPD). My MS doctor when I saw him recently mentioned about a CBD based product (can’t remember name) which I’d be suitable for but it’s not yet approved locally (isle of man). Just looking for thoughts/experience before I go down the private prescription root. Don’t won’t to be spending that money especially as I’m unable to work at the moment and claiming benefits. Thanks

I was prescribed Sativex cannabis spray about 15 years ago when I was first diagnosed. It hasn’t been licensed then & the dose was wildly woolly, it said between 1 & 30 sprays at a time. I felt very ill so I felt I needed more than one spray & felt 30 was far too many,so I did about 4. This sent me absolutely gaga & didn’t make me feel better at all, just out of control. I never did it again,it definitely wasn’t for me. They have probably sorted the dosage out by now. It was very very strong stuff. Couple of friends who didn’t have MS & we’re cannabis users did NOT like it 🫤which was telling I thought.
