Mavenclad?

Hey fellow MS'ers *weird name but ok*. Has anyone gone through their course of Mavenclad or been put off by the research. It seems like a really large step but my team are urging me to try it (70% reduction). Just wanted to get a gauge of your experiences with it. Hope you are all having an awesome day so far !!
@Barry

Hi, sorry this is a late response to your post and I hope it might be still helpful. I've now done 3 successive years with this medication. Side effects are a personal thing, but they haven't been bad for me - just some headaches and fatigue. I've had no increased risk of infections and no relapses over the time I've taken it. The most annoying lide effect for me has been lymphopaenia. Between rounds and years, it can cause a bit of a delay with starting treatment because you may have to wait your lymphocytes to recover enough to start a the next round. My personal experience aside, the research is quite positive fdor Mavenclad. The standard two years of treatment does not demonstrate an increased incidence of malignancies. It's also a relatively save choice for patients that catch COVID, too. It's classed as a high efficacy drug, not as strong as Lemtrada, but then you do not run the risk of secondary autoimmunity like you do with Lemtrada. I wish you the best of luck.
