Toilet Traumas

Most days can ,with the help of my wife, and using a Rotostand, I can just about transfer on and off bed and toilet. On my weak days I have a ceiling hoist to get in and out of bed, but when it comes to the loo the only way i can think of is to be hoisted onto the bed to pull trousers and underwear down to be rehoisted onto a commode chair and then repeated back into my wheelchair. Does anyone have any other solutions that would be easier, less fatiguing and quicker. Also importantly for my wife and sole carer for who it is an increasingly more physical struggle. I would be very grateful to know..

@paulelcock , I'm not as immobile as you and consider myself "hygienically independent", so I do manage to transfer myself. However, I can sometimes have problems standing up long enough to get myself "Pulled back up". So much so that I've taken to wearing shorts, elasticated with a draw string, 12 months in the year. this does help with dropping them and getting them back up. This suits me, as I don't go out, unless completely necessary. It's just too complicated logistically and causes me, and whoever is with me, major anxiety. So, no-one enjoys the experience. It's not ideal, but it works for us. So, consider "easywear", to facilitate easier removal and getting back on.
