What does everybody do to pass the time? Now that they are disabled? Do you still work? Do you have a new hobby or do you still have the same hobby you had before you became disabled? I enjoy social media and the Internet in general. I also like reading and Snooker. Most of my past time before my disability was quite physical like walking and sports. Not to mention natural history.

@tonyms47, I’m a retired garden designer whom can’t identify plants now. I fill my time- getting up, taking pills, doing stuff on my iPhone; emails, sudoku, read, check out shiftms, watch Catchup, social media, read the papers, make or repceive calls, order online etc etc. My days vary. But I do exercises. Go outside, shopping, coffee, read letters, write letters. The days whizz by. Have visitors. I’m in a wh/ch so limited. xx

I was lucky enough to get a voluntary redundancy deal five years into my MS so have had the time to develop and find new interests. My house and garden are now exactly as I want and I entertain a lot. I spend longer in my new kitchen and eat differently. Cooking is a pleasure and a fascination and I intend to get better at it. My week revolves round a country club, where I go weekdays for classes in the pool - aerobics, zumba etc. - which have got me fitter and leaner, much to the benefit of MS symptoms. I go away a lot, abroad and UK and travel has brought me interesting new friends, far removed from my old life. I'm learning a new language and have a bucket list of what I need to do before things deteriorate. I'm more sociable, less anxious. The MS doesn't go away but diversions have helped me see a bigger, more positive world, with possibilities that remain to be explored.
