Hi

Hi all, I am new to this site. I am currently in limbo. I do not have a diagnosis, although the neurologist felt it probably is MS. Limbo is difficult because I do not fit in with any group. One minute I am up, and then I am down. This is uncertainty. I guess a lot of people out there have experienced this, because MS is difficult to diagnose and there is no test which can prove it is MS. I am waiting, and with the current covid crises it is probably taking a little longer than usual. If I could eradicate the uncertainty that would help me process and prepare for the future. I guess none of us know what the future has in store!

Hi @clary . Yes, your experience of limboland will resonate with most members. You just have to appreciate that with our NHS, they really put the word, patient, into the term Patients!! There is one way of expediting the process, go private. This does rely on your personal finances. However, you may have some Private Health insurance through work. Once formally diagnosed, you can return to the NHS lists. And, yes, these are trying times, which are delaying most things. But, as you quite rightly say, nobody can see their future. So, nothing's changed. Once you get your ultimate diagnosis, you can move forward, with a treatment plan. And, life will get back to some semblance of normal. So, in the meantime, live healthily, eat healthily. exercise moderately and avoid stress.

Thank you for your wise words. I feel less alone already.
