Bein Open!!

Even tho i have had MS for nearly 3 years i still aint told my friends or this bloke ive been seein for the past 4 years he’s so understandin and i could tell him anythin but not this iam jst scared wot he’s gonna think, I told family and work thats it cont…………

I cant bring myself to tell them sometimes i think yes iam gonna do it but then i bk out and keep it all bottled up, i dont no wots gonna happen in the future and i need them to be there for me and hopefully understand that yet my life aint easy but doesnt mean iam any different wit or wit out MS!! Y cant i just be open??

Hey Abbey,

You’ve been together for 4 years and you say you feel you can tell him anything. Just do it. If he’s as understanding as you say he is, then it’ll be fine. It’ll bring you closer together and you’ll be rid of the stress caused to yourself too. Just tell him, trust me, it’ll be fine.

Hi Abbey, When i found out i had MS 5yrs ago i thought i would be on my own as who would want a woman with a disability, but i was wrong i have been with my fella 18 months now and he is so supportive, i couldnt ask for a better man, it pays to be open trust me, remember a problem shared is a problem halved. Let us know how it goes but you will be fine hun. Nicky

look what happens in the soapies when people keep secrets…it gets worse. Just open up and tell all to your fam and bf it will make you feel better to be open, they will support you and they also deserve to know. Who gives a shit about ms or what or wont happen, they will be there no matter what

yeah know what you mean I kept it from my mates for about 4 years – felt embarassed, guilty, ashamed and all that – and it was such a relief to let the cat out the bag, they were sound about it, just do it you’ll feel well better…
