Relapse and flare-ups: what's the difference?

Hi guys I am constantly asked what is the difference between a relapse and a flare up and I have no clue as I'm super new to being MS-spicy. Can anyone shed some light?

A relapse is new symptoms a flare up is old symptoms re occurring MS 25 years and still smiling x
