Mobility scooters & EMR

Word of warning: East Midlands railway have changed their policy on the types of mobility scooters they allow on their trains. In short class 2 only, triangular footprint (2front wheels) or 4 wheels and must have anti-tip wheels. 3 wheelers no longer accepted. Strict sizing as well. You will have to reapply for a new permit and reapply every 2 years. Plus your need to display permit sticker on your scooter. Policy comes into place 2nd September. If you use a ‘travelscoot’ like myself then it will not longer meet their policy requirements - leaving me with a bit a problem about how I’m going to travel on EMR!
