Avonex

Hi, Just wondering what other people's experiences of Avonex are? I am penciled in to start with it later this Summer. Thanks Ben

Did it for about 14 months, no injection problems or bad side effects. It's hard to judge the did it work question as nobody can know if without it if i'd have been worse or not. But hope your experience goes well. Keeping hydrated before & after and paracetamol was the key for me!

I've been on Avonex for 9 months since I was diagnosed. The side effects for the first couple of months were awful but they have gotten better. I do still spend my weekends (as I take my meds on Fridays so I'm not affected for work) with terribly stiff legs but plenty of painkillers and keeping as mobile as possible with the odd nap here and there helps stave that off.
