@shellyEd

I’m Michelle. Used to be an avid Tennis player since age of 13. Got my Masters degree at 48. Married at 50 and 2 years later diagnosed not only with RRMS but Type 2 diabetes in the same month. I began falling and while walking my right leg would seize midair along with numbness in hands and torso. I made an appt with a Neurologist and after MRI’s diagnosed with MS. 9 years later I have tried 3 therapies Mayzent by Novartis is the one I use now. I walk with a cane as my balance is not great. I neuropathy cause by the diabetes, my right leg is most affected hindering from driving right now. Can’t play tennis anymore or do a lot of things I used to do physically. But the good news is the disease has not progressed I’m 9 years, I still work a full time job, I m still traveling, my faith in God is stronger than ever. I have bad days but grateful for the good days. And I have faith the researchers will one day find a cure for this terrible disease. What would I tell myself before MS, Be humble, don’t take anything for granted, especially your heath physical, mental And emotional and keep an attitude of gratitude.
