When I first learned I had MS I had been in pain so long it was a relief to know I wasn't crazy. That there was a reason for me being in pain. I felt like a new person. I was able to take my life back. I started the meds and started feeling better. I learned to give myself a break and rest when I needed it.

Agreed. The relief is immense. Then comes the frustration of managing symptoms while in “no man’s land” before treatment. It’s a steep learning curve to be sure. This experience hasn’t come without benefits: learning to slow down and learning to advocate for myself. As an on-the-go person, both have been challenging yet necessary more than I realized.
