Newbie here

Hello everyone! I’m new to this (group and disease) and wanted to give a quick greeting. I’ve been suffering from horrible anxiety since I was diagnosed and it’s affecting my day-to-day. I’m assuming it’s normal, but how did you get past it?

Hi there, I experienced the same thing - the new diagnosis is scary. These are the things that helped me settle down: Gathering information from good sources; exercise and focusing on lifestyle; and TIME - be forgiving of yourself! I went on a DMT many years after diagnosis, and that was reassuring, feeling like I had backup in trying to stay healthy. 🌷

@Katherine_dT i appreciate your kind words! I’ll start taking a DMT this coming we week so that’s reassuring. I was doing some more research last night and read CBD gummies or oils can help with anxiety and lack of sleep so I’m going to give them a go tomorrow. This anxiety business just started on Thursday and it’s starting to consume my life which sucks.
