Help!! Flying without a travel letter

Desperately seeking advice. Has anybody taken the risk and flown without a travel letter? My hospital have fucked up. I've been asking for one since August and haven't been sent one. I was then told on Tuesday that they would do one and leave it at reception at the hospital for me to pick up today. I went there today after work and lo and behold there was no letter. I'm flying tomorrow and I'm freaking out. I've been told to call again tomorrow and see if they will do one that i can pick up tomorrow before I leave. But I'm concerned now that I won't get it. Has anybody else used the travel passport thing that you get with Rebif? I'm hoping if I go to the hospital tomorrow and they haven't done it that I can just get somebody to stamp/sign it and I can be on my way. But what if it's not accepted. I'm literally having a meltdown about this. Can anybody help?

@dukes0445 , airports are used to people flying with medications. On the past two occasions, I have not been asked for any documentation. However, it is a comfort to have something, just in case you encounter the jobsworth. Is it not possible to get your GP to scribble something for you? Or do you have some delivery documentation that shows your name/address and medication? Please don't stress yourself before your holiday. :wink:

@jman

Have you got a discharge letter, or something showing your history and meds? That should at least do without a specific 'Fit to fly' document. As long as the medications are in their original packaging, with your name on. I usually add a note to mine 'Personal Medication Only' or similar.. J
