Relapse or medication not working?

I was diagnosed last May and still not on medication for MS but instead I have been prescribed Pregabalin which only hides the symptoms. I am still waiting to see a consultant (been a joke so far) so I’m only aware of what I have researched on the internet about MS. I didn’t know if I am currently experiencing a relapse? I am so tired lately and sleeping more than normal but I am feeling the effects that the Pregabalin normally hides so not sure if it is a relapse or the dosage is to be increased - any suggestions would be appreciated!

@TraceyR I hope you get to see a neurologist who can put you on a treatment for M.S. as that would stabilize things and prevent further lesions to appear (or at least minimise the risk of them). It seems odd to me that you're only treated for the symptoms. Makes life more comfortable but meanwhile... If you're experiencing a new symptom for over 24 hours then I think it's a relapse. Can you pick the phone up to your M.S. team to let them know, perhaps they could help and get you checked?

new symptoms or worsening of previous symptoms that lasts for more than 24hrs and was not triggered by symptoms is a possible relapse. But equally from personal experience I know the pregabalin itself started to make me feel a bit like that and I felt more with it once I reduced the dose. It seems like a really long time to have to wait to see a consultant. Where abouts are you in the UK? Do you have an appointment to meet with them? Things were also really slow for me so I asked my GP to refer me to a different hospital and they’ve been so much better so far.
