Mavenclad and Travel

Hi All, I just started the first dose of mavenclad and I am happy no side effects, fingers crossed šŸ¤žletā€™s see how this goes šŸ˜Š Ok.. so my question is, can I to go travelling in two weeks time before my second dose of treatment and go travelling 2 months after my first treatment? I had planned these tripā€™s before I knew about the new treatment. My mavenclad support and MS team canā€™t answer questions about holiday travel just after treatment. I think they canā€™t give general advice as every patients circumstances can vary. Is this too risky for me to go with a weakened immune system during the winter period, just in case I pick up a virus or an infection. This has made me nervous about my travel plans. I donā€™t know should I cancel them, take care and isolate at home or go live my life. The fight in me wants to go but I donā€™t knowā€¦ I would be grateful to get some advice on mavenclad and travel? Thanks ā¤ļø

Why not check with one of the MS charities. You can't be the only person in this situation. My weakened immune system hasn't stopped me travelling, and you can't "not" catch a virus. They are around us, all the time. Me, I would go live my life.

I went travelling a month after finishing year 1 week 2 and I was OK. I am planning to do the same after year 2 week 2. My MS nurse said there was no reason for me no travelling. I'd recommend you to check with your MS team, nevertheless.
