Wav’s (wheelchair/mobility scooter vehicles)

Hi guys, does anyone have experience of buying or using a WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle)? I’m a bit unsure about how much effort it takes to put the scooter in the van and whether or not I’d be capable of doing it. So I was wondering if anyone else has used one before and whether the ramp mechanism or the winch one was best. Thanks
@Warlock

It really depends on the size of the mobility scooter you want to get in the back.. you can get quite compact mobility scooters these days and you can get a hoist fitted in a hatch back or SUV that will lift the mobility scooter up and you'll be able to just slide it into your vehicle quite easy... If you have a wheelchair or a big mobility scooter then getting a wav is the great thing to do.. I have one and I have a folding ramp so it's easy to get the chair straight into the vehicle it was specially adapted I managed to buy it vat free because of my disability I am sure if you go into one of your local garages and speak to somebody in the motability department they will certainly put you on the right way forward best of luck....
