Amitriptyline

Hi I have been taking Amitriptyline for sleep because I was getting so much pain I couldn't sleep at night but I'm getting so many side affects I want to come off it but every time I do very slowly my pain comes back my Doctor when I can get an appointment is useless Just wanted to know what helps them instead of Amitriptyline Thanks Sue

Hi @SIMONA2 , I gotta say I'm with you. My doctor suggested I try Amitriptyline for the pain in my hands. I took it for two weeks and quit. The side effects were awful. Honestly wouldn't suggest that stuff to my worst enemy. The only thing I've found that you can take for acute episodes is cannabis. I don't know why it works, nor how it works, but it does.
