High jcv+ level, Tysabri and Gilena

Hi. I've been on Tysabri for over 7 years. My jcv+ level is 3.5, which I'm told is high. I've been told I may have to come off Ty to go on a tablet, Gilena, I think it's possibly called. Has anyone had to do this and how effective it is in comparison? Thank you

Hi Rachh, I don't know as they keep saying everyone is different,but I was put on Gilenya four months ago and I have been having BIG issues with my white blood count staying to low! Now they have me only taking the drug every third day which is much better. But after Xmas they want me to try th Tysabri? So I would be going the other way! Can't say I am keen! John

@RachH

Thanks John, but I've now changed over and am being closely monitored. Having a head and spine MRI soon - spine's being done as Drs think I had a flare in my spine earlier in the year when I had a relapse. I've not been on Gilenya long enough to know if it's working or not, according to my neuro.
