Shingles Vaccine

Has anyone else felt soooo lousy from the shingles vaccine?! Had a really bad reaction to the site where I had it (red, warm and massively swollen) and couldn’t get out of bed at all yesterday! Fever, headache, joint ache! Dreading the second dose!! (Apparently it’s worse!!) Anyone else had the shingles vaccine before starting Kesimpta?? And how were you with the second dose?? Just keep telling myself… short term pain for long term gain!! 😂🤦‍♀️ x

I’ve heard it’s usually a rougher one. I’m surprised you were able to get the shingles vaccine. I thought you had to be 50+ to get it. Shingles is no joke though. I had it 6.5 years ago and it was extremely painful and left me with neuropathy in that part of my back.

@Ematt0426 Yeah I’ve heard that too! My MS nurse said I needed it before starting Kesimpta… I assume it’s because Kesimpta is an immunosuppressant…. Sorry to hear you went through that 😔😔 hope things are getting better! X
