Treatment

Has anyone been given duloxetine 30mg for numbing, tingling and burning pain for ms? I’m awaiting diagnosis following my mri two weeks ago and the doctor has prescribed these for now, until confirmed. The numbing, tingling, burning pain is constant.

@Lisaperks yes I tried this and unfortunately it didn't agree with me and I had to stop taking it. I do understand from my MS nurse that Duloxetine is usually tolerated better by most people so it's worth a try. I tried this after I had been on Amitriptyline which helped with the nerve pain at night but made my fatigue feel worse the next day. I'm now trying Nortryptaline taking 30mg in the evening and 10mg at 9 and another at 10mg at 1pm to help with nerve pain during the day. I've been advised to keep a diary for a few weeks to see how this makes me feel and if I notice any benefits or side effects. It would probably be worth you doing the same. There can be a lot of trial and error to find what suits you best . Take care
