What's the normal process after an MRI

Hello! I just wanted to get some opinions about what should be the due process after an MRI in the NHS. Obviously this changes from trust to trust. I have moved hospital and my specialist has written to me to say that there was no report made after my last scan at another hospital. At this hospital I was never talked through results and told that was not possible when I asked. Im a little alarmed about this but perhaps km overreacting. Would be good to hear your experiences.
@deano

They never talk through mine either , even when I used to see consultant ( before COVID) my last one, I got a two line letter "MRI on the (date) which was reassuring unchanged when compared with the previous study from February 2021"

@Clary

After a MRI the radiology department should write a report about the scan. They then send the report and scans to the neurologist. The neurologist then summarises everything and writes to the GP. You should then be given a copy of the letter from the neurologist to the GP. You should be copied in. If you have any questions about the MRI your neurologist should be able to discuss findings with you. Can you speak to your neurology department? If you have no luck the hospital should have a dedicated complaints process. Hope you can chase your results. Good luck.
