Morning All
Has anyone tried the diet treatment instead of taking meds.?
I would really like to find out more about it. I have heard about it, not not sure which diet its called.
Thanks

Hi @jowillsher, there are many options. Do you know to which you are referring, paleo, Wahls protocol, Best bet diet, Overcoming MS by Prof Jelinek, Swank ( the original!)... Many common themes though...
Among the many views on diet, the one thing that is NOT controversial is that the healthier you are overall, the better for your MS. So when considering if you should go dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan or whatever, think of your decision in the context of general good health. Also remember that sudden major changes in diet may cause you stress, which is ABSOLUTELY to be avoided. Many people on this site believe strongly that certain foods are dangerous for the MS and should be avoided at all costs. Others like me think that dietary benefits for MS are the same as dietary benefits for the population as a whole. The difference is that if we develop secondary condition such as heart disease, it will not only be serious in its own right but very likely worsen our MS. Lots to think about! xx
