Is laser eye surgery possible for people with MS?

In the past I've heard some conflicting information that it is possible or it's not possible. I've also had that some specialist refuse to do the procedure because somewhere down the line something could happen to the patient's eyesight to do with their MS and then that could reflect badly on them. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience on this?

Go talk to David Bennet at Brooks & Wardman in Nottingham (Ropewalk). He is my optometrist and manages my pretty complex visual issues (I’ve had MS for 31y). He explained why it is not a good idea. I was determined to have it and he talked me out of it. As an aside, he is an OCT expert. WHAT IS OCT AND WHY DOES IT MATTER IN MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS? https://youtu.be/p2Q6e-3dQVg

Hi Thanks for all this information and your YouTube video is very interesting. The OCT seems very useful indeed. However, I'm not sure how much I'd like to know about the future really. I travel as much as I can and I think if I knew more about my future with MS, then I might not take as many risks as I do now.
