Concerns over DMT's

I am actually interested (from my academic background) in risks and how we perceive them. Reading a data sheet about a drug - risks and side-effects especially - is bloody terrifying. The thing is is that the risks are rarely properly explained or contextualised. An article I wrote cited a recent paper saying that over 85% of doctors were actually poor at understanding it properly. How can they help you if they don't really know themselves. @highlander sent me this: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/crunching-the-numbers-on-mortality/ Drug side effects don't make the main lists!
@Highlander

@dominics So your chances of the doctors having a true understanding of it is probably 15% of the 15% that think they know..... using the scale above. 🤯

From that one study I cited in the article for Barts that I wrote. I was/am making the point that doctors think they know about it but far fewer actually do for themselves, let alone explain it to others. The paper had various free visual aids for doctors to use when discussing risks with patients attached to it. Makes sense. I wonder how many people have had a risk discussion with their doctor and the medic used visual aids. Very few I daresay.
