Feeling overwhelmed
Hi I am 41 and was recently diagnosed with relapsing ms . Start treatment in 2 weeks . Would love to talk to people with ms as I feel alone . Been feeling unwell for a couple of weeks don't know if I am being paranoid or if it is affects of ms . Really tired , pain , sore heads , no motivation . Really have to force myself to do anything . Thanks Debbie

Hi, Debbie. The way you feel is normal, I guess. I remember I felt so lost when I found out about my diagnosis, I couldn't even tell anyone. So coming here and looking for advice is not only a great idea, but a step forward to accepting MS into your life. That is the most important thing: to realize you have to live with MS from now on and make peace with it. You can be frustrated and angry at times, even paranoid if you feel like it, just remember to also be optimistic and find joy in your life again. Your life will probably change, but it doesn't have to change in a bad way. You can start thinking of all those things you never dared to do before and just start doing them now:) You will have to make small adjustments also, but they might mean you will improve your quality of live. Since I have MS, I just take care of myself more. I respect my body more, I exercise more and just eat healthier. So it's all for the better:) What treatment are you starting on? I am sure you will find plenty of people here that understand and go through everything you go through, even treatment wise, so just ask if you have concerns or side effects or anything. Stanca
Hi Stanca thanks for your comment that helps a lot . That is what I am telling myself it is not the end it is just adjusting to doing things different . At the start I didn't know what to do , but I have decided to go back to work part time and see how I do . Can't live on what ifs . The treatment is Tecfidera Debbie
