Any more tests

Got my second appointment with my neurologist tomorrow. After the first time i seen her, they sent me for bloods tests, had an MRI with contrast and my LP done. Is there anything else I'll need done? I'm hoping tomorrow will be to talk about putting me onto some treatment.

Bloody Nora, @Dan1723 , you joined us on Christmas Day! No presents to play with, unless you were trying out a new laptop? If your appointment is today, the timing of the following may seem a little untimely...... Anyway, I would hope that treatments would be discussed at this appointment. You've had your diagnosis, which has to be as a result of the MRI, LP and bloods. So, this appointment must be to discuss the way ahead. There are a range of treatments now available, with varying degrees of efficacy (effectiveness). The latest thinking is to hit the MS hard and fast, with the most effective treatments. Unfortunately, there are still conservative Neuros, who want to start slowly, with first line treatments, gradually moving up through the more effective treatments, if and when your MS progresses. You need to be to play an active part in these discussions so that your personal requirements are taken into consideration. Some knowledge of the treatments will be required by you in this respect She should arrange an introduction to your local MS Nurse, a specialist nurse, dedicated to the care of MS Patients. They will assist as your first point of contact for all things MS-related, initially finalising the choice of medication and the related arrangements.

@Stumbler my kids had too many presents, I was worn out taking a break when I found this site. Yes it was earlier, i know it was a bit late for me to post about it but I did see your post before I had my appointment. The appointment was about treatments today. I initially wanted to go onto Ocrevus but I changed my mind to go with tecfidera now. I'm also enrolled onto a study called "Determining the effectivness of early intensive versus escalation approaches for the treatment of relapsing-remitting MS". Where I'll be monitored every 3 months through either face to face or telephone appointments. He arranged all that on my first appointment. Thanks for replying.
