Does Kesimpta hurt like a bee sting when injected?
I first tried Copaxone (which hurt like a bee sting after I injected), then Tecfidera, and now Ocrevus but I’m looking into Kesimpta!
Do you like it? Does it hurt to inject? What’s your experience?

I’ve been on kesimpta for a few years. I still use a cold compress pack on my thigh first, only for a few mins and then jab. I had a few really painful injections and strange bruising 😫 95% of the time I have no bruising and no pain.
Hi @BrittdW :) I've been on Kesimpta for 6ms. I've had minimal site reactions and no side effects minus the first 2 injections. The site has bruised twice but I put that down to where I've injected and previous damage from other injections. I've been injecting for 10yrs. Previously Rebif (subcutaneous injections) and then Avonex (intramuscular - IM). For me, the IM was much more difficult to administer. I'd use an icepack like @kateeeeeeeee mentioned, but I don't for Kesimpta. Not sure why I stopped because I used an ice pack for Rebif too. I think for me, moving from an IM back to subcut felt like a breeze after yrs of weekly anxiety having to administer it. I find Kesimpta more gentle and friendly. Takes 10 mins total out of my evening, once a month and it's done and dusted. So far so good. Feel stronger and the most well in years. I'd recommend. I'd go for it. Good luck :)
