Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities đź’š

The UN is calling on governments and campaigners to prioritise disabled inclusivity after COVID made many of us feel left behind. How would you like to see our society increase accessibility, and dismantle barriers for people with disabilities?
@kateeeeeeeee

A positive from covid was the lockdowns and working from home. All of a sudden the conversation about working from home was suddenly acceptable and resources were provided. Another was non-disabled people having a view into what isolation can really mean when it’s mainly restricted by community access/accessibility. The change needed? Have us visible, mainstream tv shows, news, let’s talk about disability more. People seem to never know how to approach the conversation - let’s educated them. Be able to comfortably address when accessibility isn’t existing in the community. That has to improve.

@kateeeeeeeee A positive for a bit where working from home actually gave some relaxation to people with MS, untill came the time of being let go from work and bounce back to square one and here we went on the ride. Still it actually opened the eyes abit of how these big people always have the freedom to work from anywhere in the world with all health care at the flick of a finger. Back we go in a bubble of not knowing of what the future looks like again, how the viruses or even cold effects MS is awful these past year or 2 I have spent months being sick of a cold like virus. I think there should be a great choice of flexible work from home opening for ppl with MS including first hand health and support services including mental health.
